Horsemanship and Basic Riding Lessons
We teach horsemanship along with basic riding instruction because we feel that it is necessary to understand why a horse does what it does to be successful at having a safe and enjoyable riding experience. Our students learn to do everything from grooming, tacking, cleaning out hooves, and learning how to sit and post correctly while working very simple patterns in a small riding area.
Intermediate Riding Lessons
Our intermediate students work on more advanced riding techniques. For example, they will learn how to trot, canter, and gallop while directing their horse exactly where they are told to go. These students ride in more advanced patterns and will also start riding in open areas (outside of the arena).
Advanced Riding Lessons
The advanced riding lessons consist of learning how to do lead changes along with running show patterns and learning basic training for the horse itself. Advanced placement requires that a student be able to preform every function needed to catch, groom, tack, and ride their horse without any assistance from the trainer.
We reserve the right to place any student in whichever category that we deem appropriate after an initial analysis of thier riding skills.
